Fashion Model Halima Aden assists in creating face masks for women wearing hijabs or turbans

Fashion Model Halima Aden is helping in creating confront face masks for female frontline workers who wears hijabs and turbans.
Halima Aden who was reportedly the first lady to dress in a hijab in the Overlook Minnesota pageant has teamed up a fashion start-up to work on the production of facemasks to this category of people. The masks comes with caps or buttons.
The 22-year-old model has created seven different mask and hijab sets that women can wear comfortably while staying safe. The masks have been created for short-term use as opposed to 24/7 wear to provide hijab-wearing healthcare workers with something more comfortable to wear given that standard-issue masks don’t account for headscarves and facial coverings.
Aden is one of several high-profile fashion names to create a series of masks for the project, labelled “Banding Together”.
“As many hijab-wearing women are working at health care facilities, I wanted to make sure they have a comfortable option for wearing a mask while keeping their hair covered,” she continued.
“One of the obstacles was definitely the behind-the-ears face mask,” she stated. “As somebody who wears a hijab, it was very hard to adjust. Any time I had to remove a mask I would have to find privacy and so we really wanted to make this range of hijab sets very efficient.”
“Being somebody who worked in a hospital setting – I was a housekeeper at St. Cloud Hospital even seven months into my modeling career – I know those hassles when it comes to wearing a traditional scarf,” Aden stated. “I really wanted to make these turban-hijab sets as efficient, functional, and comfortable as we could possibly make it.”
Aden stated the hues of the parts remind her of tranquility and peace.
