Arise Fashion Week 2019 – Deola Sagoe bags 10 Million Naira Prize

ARISE Fashion Week 2019 has officially come to an end after a 3-day event with top African and international designers showcasing their pieces for the Autumn/Winter 2019 season.
Deola Sagoe, is a leading Nigerian haute couture fashion house which has been at the cutting edge of high fashion since 1989. The label’s globally appealing style has earned her an enviable clientèle that ranges from Africa’s first ladies, to society girls like Lydia Hearst, top model Alek Wek, and famous personalities such as Oprah Winfrey and Will Smith.
The collection was made out of iridescent Aso Oke with her signature laser cuts that we have become used to but definitely not tired of. The collection featured daring cuts, frills, fringes, ruffles, sequins that looked like peacock feathers, pleatings and other embellishments adorned on super chic dresses and jumpsuits in varying cuts.
Deola Sagoe gave the audience a world class show with top models from around the world.
At the end of the show, Deola went home with the best Designer of the year and a whooping sum of Ten Million Naira from Arise.
